- These youngsters will be trained by the expert coaches of the Suderland AFC Academy of Lights.
PANAMA, OCTOBER 31st 2011 - For third consecutive year, Digicel Panama sent our talented athletes to train with great sport personalities. This morning, the four youngsters who will represent Panama in the Digicel Football Academy, excited departed from Tocumen International Airport to Trinidad and Tobago. There, with players from 6 other countries, they’ll train for a week with the Sunderland AFC Academy of Lights coaches, where they will show their real talents and have the chance to be selected to play in this prestigious team of the England Premier League.
Carlos A. Saavedra, Alcides Murillo, Jonathan Moreno and Iván Darío Murillo are the lucky players chosen by the English football star John Barnes, during the Digicel Premier Clinics 2011 held in Panama on September, where over 300 young men from across the country participated to get this unique opportunity.
