Caribbean Teams set to Begin World Cup Qualifying

While Jamaica and Cuba, both Ranked into the Final Stages of CONCACAF Qualifying sit out First Group Stage.

Caribbean Teams set to Begin World Cup Qualifying

Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands, St. Lucia all qualified to join eighteen (18) other Confederation teams in the First Group Stage of World Cup qualifying in CONCACAF after winning their play-off matches in June/July 2011. Bahamas had also won its match against neighbours Turks & Caicos but was forced to withdraw due to financial concerns.

Matches begin on September 2nd when Belize travel to Grenada, Bermuda to Trinidad & Tobago, Cayman Islands to Suriname, Dominica face Nicaragua at home, Curacao travel to Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados goes to Guyana, St. Lucia takes the long journey to Canada, Puerto Rico goes to St. Kitts & Nevis, USVI to Haiti while Dominican Republic and St. Vincent & Grenadines travel to El Salvador and Guatemala respectively.
