 Saturday, December 13 –Kingston, Jamaica: Sunday December 14 marks the end of the 2008 Digicel Caribbean Championships after just 6 months.  The Final 2 matches will see Cuba and Guadeloupe competing for third place and US$50,000 at 3:30PM at the National Stadium in Kingston followed by the most anticipated match between Jamaica and Grenada at 6PM.  Jamaica and Grenada compete for US$120,000 and the title of Digicel Caribbean Champions.

Digicel and the Caribbean Football Union have planned a spectacular end to this prestigious tournament including a half time show featuring Digicel Rising Star Romain Virgo and International Reggae performer Freddie McGreggor.

CFU President Jack Warner and CFU Senior Vice President Captain Horace Burrell will present medals to 4th place and 3rd place teams directly after the first match.  Digicel Group Sponsorship Manager Kieran Foley will then present them with their cheques.  4th place winners will receive US$30,000 and 3rd place winner receive US$50,000.

Match referee awards, the MVP trophy, Silver medals and the coveted DCC Trophy will be presented by Digicel and the CFU at the closing ceremony scheduled for 8PM.
