Esso Amicy, the last young Haitian to take part in Haitian Digicel Kick Start Clinics Program in Sunderland is currently evolving in Victory, the first division club in Digicel Haiti’s National championship.
Statements from Esso at the Digicel Kick Start Clinics 2011 launch:
I learned a lot during my time at Sunderland. I had many gaps structuring my game but when I arrived at Sunderland, the training I received allowed me to build my game, to correct the shortcomings that I had technically and after I came back and what I learned during that training first in Haiti and then in Sunderland in Haiti has helped me get better every day.
After Sunderland, I did an internship at Lemans in France which was very good but unfortunately I was not 18 years , and therefore not old enough to be hired at the club. I will be going back this year and I hope everything will be fine. Meanwhile I have been playing as a defensive midfielder in the Victory Club, one of the best teams in the national championship. I continue to get better every day with the hope that I can, someday sooner than later be a part of the national team and put my talent at the service of my country.
